I am so excited to say that I am about 8 months away from getting on a plane to leave for training and then my first country, Costa Rica! The journey of being obedient and laying down what I had envisioned for the year after graduation has been such a humbling and sweet time of growth. 

I am now sitting with the Lord this next season preparing and reflecting on my hopes, fears, insecurities, dreams and excitements for the adventure that awaits in October! I know the World Race is only 11 months, but I believe that this journey started the moment the Lord placed the race on my heart. With that being said I will be using this blog to post a few heart and head updates as well as ways you can be praying as I prepare these next 8 months! 

While I am on the race I will be using this as a place to reflect and share what the Lord has been doing in my heart, within my team and with the people we encounter in each country! I will do my best to post a lot of updates for those who want to know what is going on. I want this blog to be a place where I can share the good and exciting moments as well as the hard moments! No filter! I want this to be a place where people can hear my heart and be praying for me as well as the people I will be doing life with over the year! Therefore, this will be a place where I can brag on people and places, confess and praise the Lord. But in order to be able to be present and authentic, I wont be be spending too much time on editing...so bear with me on grammatical errors. 

I also want to share my heart behind what I would like my blog to serve as leading up to the race! From time to time I will share different things on my heart such as prayer request, fears and doubts I have as I get closer to the launch date, and various scripture or thoughts the Lord places on my heart!

In addition, my hope is to post a specific post for each country I will be visiting! Missions is something that the Lord has been slowly putting on my heart since I was a sophomore in high school, although it has always been hard for me to know where and who to pray for! I am now so excited to have 11 specific countries to learn more about and spend time in prayer for! If you are like me and just need a place and a people group to pray for then follow me on these updates and hopefully the Lord will stir something in you!
