Hi yall! Here is a little bit about me!

I am student at the University of Texas at Austin and will be graduating in May 2020! I am a Psychology major and have been actively involved in my sorority, church and an on campus ministry called Student Mobilization throughout my four years of being here! I grew up in Austin, so I didn’t go too far for school! Which has given me the ability to be involved with family, while challenging myself to start and maintain a community on my own!

Some of my favorites are: coffee shops, long walks, people people people, story telling, TRAVELING, question asking, country music, the ocean, road trips, anything outside, spontaneity, diversity and learning!

This past four years at this University have made a HUGE impact on who I am, what I stand for, the growth I have experienced and the MANY MANY memories and friends Ive made. First of all, I have had countless amount of dance parties, coffee dates, spontaneous adventures, road trips with friends, movie marathons, long and deep conversations, outdoor shenanigans and more!

I have had the opportunity to be stretched and grow throughout these four years, including the summers! Through the grace of the Lord I was introduced to a summer program called Kaleo. Here I was surrounded by peers who wanted to be pushed in their faith, learn what it means to be a disciple of Christ and wrestle through various topics and the Biblical truth. In addition, I was blessed with the opportunity to work in Barcelona and live with a host family. There I was challenged BIG time in a multitude of ways. I was presented with the challenge trusting the Lord in a new environment, discovering who God says I am apart from my community, and diving into another part of the world. I would point back to this as a big event in my story as I had never been stretched in such a way ever before. This experience instill a HUGE amount of passion for people- not just their company, but their stories. I saw God’s hand work so evidently through being vulnerable, asking questions and trusting the Lord with where he placed me.

Through the good, crazy, fun and hard times, the Lord has been faithful in revealing to me His character and using experiences the instill growth.I have been shown a glimpse of what grace looks like, the power of community and have been challenged to have an eternal perspective. Learning what it looks like to communicate God’s grace, share the Gospel boldly and demonstrate biblical love to others has been hard, but rewarding journey.

What I am learning: The importance of loving who God made me to be, vulnerability and authenticity is key, when we let go of what we have been holding so tightly to-God has the power to radically change our hearts, faith is not asking God to join you in your plan for yourself-but earnestly following Him and trusting that his plan is best.
